Toronto, ON — July 23, 2026 – Beer Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Rahim Karmali as Director, Strategic Communications.
In this role, Rahim leads Beer Canada’s communications initiatives, shaping the voice, advocacy efforts and public awareness of Canada’s brewing industry.
Rahim brings over a decade of experience in communications, marketing, translation and public relations, having partnered with organizations across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors to develop bilingual communications strategies and campaigns that connect brands with audiences across Canada.
“Rahim brings the bilingual communications expertise and strategic thinking we need to strengthen how we tell the story of Canada’s brewing industry,” said Richard Alexander, President of Beer Canada. “I’m looking forward to working closely with him as we advance our advocacy priorities.”
Born and raised in Montreal, Rahim is natively bilingual and holds a Master’s in Communication from the University of Ottawa. He is also a former top-ranked national badminton athlete and lifelong foodie who’s travelled to over 30 countries.
